We all know that there is a shortage of quality bilingual infant & toddler books to meet the needs of our growing Hispanic community. That’s why we thought we would share the news with you that our Baby Talk Bilingual Board Books®, which is a collection of five books, is now a FIVE TIMES award-winner!

Artist Noêl Ill brings these books alive with the cutest illustrations. School Library Journal wrote, “The bright digital illustrations will be eye candy for the youngest of patrons and the friendly bilingual text makes this just right for baby or toddler storytimes.” SLJ concluded their review with this verdict, “A solid addition for collections looking to include more dual language board books.”

The collection of five books was created for our infant and toddler literacy program for parent involvement, provided by The Latino Family Literacy Project. The program teaches Hispanic parents to read with their babies and toddlers in Spanish and affords them opportunities to learn new English skills. Each book has a cute image accompanied with a simple fact to make reading the board book more interesting than traditional board books that generally mention just one word. These simple and interesting facts help parents have so much more to talk about!
