Lectura Books offers award-winning books and parent programs and provides teacher workshops for working with English learners. Parents are an important piece of the puzzle in our education system but many schools still struggle with how to work with parents, and especially with Spanish-speaking parents. Working with parents can be particularly rewarding when you fully understand the challenges, interests, and successes of parents.
Lectura Books offers research-based curriculum for Parent Involvement with English learners. The Latino Family Literacy Project™ is a White House Bright Spot Award Winner for Educational Excellence with Hispanics. The online webinar training will train teachers to work with Spanish-speaking parents to coach them on how to read with their children, build vocabulary, and ESL skills.
Teachers who attend our program training love the workshop and leave inspired to provide the best Parent Involvement program with parents of English Learner students. These programs meet the requirement for Title I, II, III, IV, and V for Parent Involvement with English Learners so that parents can help their kids with reading and English language vocabulary development.
Our Online Professional Development training includes:
A complete curriculum binder with ELD activities
A cultural competency framework
Step-by-step training for easy program implantation
A lending library of 180 bilingual children’s books
